QUESTION: How do I get rid of pregnancy mask also known as melasma? I got it while I was pregnant, it has been 6months and it’s still there! It goes across the bridge of my nose but the one that really bothers me is above my lip it looks like I have a mustache. I know that the sun will make it 10 times worse so I am using sunscreen everyday. Is there bleach or anything that will get rid of or at least help?

Pregnancy mask is common post pregnancy and I feel for you. You have some options here; Skin lighteners would be ideal but you want one that really works. SkinRxClinic Skin Lightener Liquid Gel is a favorite of mine. It contains 2% hydroquinone which is a safe but effective amount. I have never had the hyperpigmention from Pregnancy…I did however wax my upper lip and did not protect it with SPF (I have learned my lesson) but I too ended up with a brown mustache!. Another option is an “At Home” chemical peel, I would recommend using Lactic Acid it is designed to lighten and diminish the look of hyperpigmention and you can also learn about this product on the same website. Go to and enter “lightener” in the search box and the skin lightener will pull up. For the Lactic Acid “At Home” peel information just reference “lactic” and the product will pull up. It is worth looking into!

QUESTION: Is it normal for girls to have under eye bags? I have them, but I never see other girls with them.

Yes this is normal but you are right it is not very common. Your best bet is a good eye treatment. The best I have found so far is SkinRxClinic’s Eyebright Anti-Puffiness Gelee…it is great. At good tip is put it in the fridge so it is cool when you apply it, this will also help combat the puffiness! Go to type “gelee” in the search box and the product and information will pull up. It is worth looking into!

QUESTION: Is it bad for your skin to put toner on before you wash your face? If I’m busy can I just apply toner and lotion as a subsitute for my cleanser?

It is not necessarily bad to apply toner as a substitute to cleansing but I would not recommend it. There is reasoning behind cleansing before toning. I would have to say it far more important to wash your face then it is to use toner, so if you would like to omit a step in your regime the toner should be the first to go. Cleanser and moisturizer are your most important products. Washing your face removes dirt, oils and impurities that accumulate through out the day and your moisturizer is designed to hydrate the skin. Try something lightweight thats fragrance-free & paraben-free like SkinRxClinics Skin Recovery Creme just go to and type “recovery” in the search box it will pull up. You should browse the website they have great prices and tons of products to choose from. You might also want to check out the Glyco-Lactic cleanser, you will get the benefits of a cleanser and toner in one! Just type “glyco-lactic” in the search box and you can read all about it!

QUESTION: Best tinted moisturizer for oily skin? I would like to know what is the best tinted moisturizer for combination skin that is sensitive. I get pimples here and there on occasion and am always oily in my tzone. I would like to know the best tinted moisturizer preferably under $50. I would like it for summer and spring mostly so nothing to heavy!

Try Mineral Secrets Liquid Mineral Foundation. It is lighter than a tinted moisturizer but provides better coverage and is has a natural sun screen (approximately 15 protection) with its Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide ingredients. It leaves a Matte finish so you never look shinny or greasy and it lasts all day! Just go to type “liquid” in the search box an it will pull up.

Neither…you can get a high quality product at a inexpensive price without goint to the drug store or big retailers! Mineral Secrets has a Congo Safari Bronzer that is better than any bronzer I have ever tried! And I was an Account Executive working in Sephora! That alone should tell you I know what I’m talking about! They must have a gazillion bronzers at Sephora but nothing comes close Mineral Secrets Congo Safari Bronzer and I live in Florida the sunshine state and its a must to have the perfect bronzer!!

QUESTION: I am getting these HUGE under my skin zits. I am only getting one or two but their really big and under my skin and it takes along time for them to heal. Is there anything that can help?

Here’s the deal…the zits you are referring to are called Cystic Acne. They are underneath the surface, large, hard, bumps that rarely come to a head and are almost impossible to pop. This being said…the only way to get rid of them is from the inside. The best way to do this…(and I know from personal experience,I had Cystic Acne) is with a Alpha-Beta product. I recommend SkinRxClinic’s Glyco-Lactic Gel Cleanser and Glyco-Lactic toner. They both contain Glycolic and Salicylic Acid designed to penetrate at a deeper layer into the skin and dissolve the cyst. If you pick they will become red and inflamed and you wont be able to extract it anyway so as hard as it is…and I know it’s hard…do not pick you can cause scarring and scabs and I’m certain you don’t want that!

QUESTION: What is a good moisturizer for my face? I have oily and irritated skin and have never used a moisturizer before. Do you have any suggestions on what product I can use that prevents breakouts and clear up redness, oil and irritated skin?

Oily and irritated skin…this is tough because you want to get the oil under control and most products that control excess sebum (oil) are harsh and irritating…exactly what you don’t want. I suggest trying a Alpha-Beta cleanser, this will contain Glycolic and Salicylic acid and will help control the oil and breakouts. Then you can follow up with a lightweight oil-free moisturizer. carries a product called Glyco-latic Cleanser. It is an Alpha-Beta Gel Cleaner that works wonders for this skin type. They also carry a Glyco-lactic Toner that is a favorite of mine and it works great with the Gel Cleanser. I would check out the Skin Recovery Creme if you are looking for a good moisturizer, it would be the ideal product to follow up with.

You were a little vague so I am going to assume you mean brown or sun spots. There are products out there specifically designed to correct this problem SkinRxClinic carry’s a product called Skin Lightener. It is a light liquid gel that contains 2% Hydroquinone a proven skin lightener, and is inexpensive. It’s worth looking into…go to type “lightener” in the search box and the Skin Lightener and the Skin Lightener Kit will both come up.
